The answer!
I’ve had a very busy week, and had no idea what I was going to do for the Sunday Stills logo project. I wanted it to be different, and was, may I say a bit perplexed with the assignment. I got home from our Young Feather Show around 4:30. It, took a bit to unpack the car. Finally I sit down at the computer and think… am I too late? What can I find in my archives.
Well, here is my answer to the logo dilemma. Can you count the logo’s on this truck? I don’t have a prize for the winner. But, I’d like to see how many you can come up with. I’m quite sure there maybe a few of you who might be a tad bit familiar with the theme of this vehicle. But, most likely most of you will not have a clue.
I know this is a photography challenge, forgive me as I really don’t think this is a very good photograph.
Sunday Stills can be found here.
Very cool!
No one is correct yet. Here is the definition from wikipedia of a “Logo”.
A logo is a graphic mark or emblem commonly used by commercial enterprises, organizations and even individuals to aid and promote instant public recognition. Logos are either purely graphic (symbols/icons) or are composed of the name of the organization (a logotype or wordmark). An example of an abstract mark is the blue octagon representing Chase Bank, while an example of a representational mark is the “everyman” icon of PBS. Examples of well-known logotypes (wordmarks) are the striped IBM design, Mobil written in blue with a red “o” and CocaCola written in flowing red script.
While you could argue that there are many logo’s on this truck in the form of wordmarks, or even maybe a logotype as described in the above wikipeia definition, I feel that a logo is not so broadly defined. I was going for what I as an artist would consider a logo to be. That is a graphic mark, like the Nike swoosh, or in this case the Toyota logo on the wheel rims. Hope you all had fun with my little guessing game.
Interestingly different! I could find only Twelve, repeated logos counted as one.
30 years away from Canada is very long, but I will never forget the Ambassador Bridge.
The rest, I don’t know.
That’s a pretty jazzy truck. :)
I think there are thirteen…nice job and VERY different!

Hint: Logo’s and Brand names are different.
Eighteen?
