Most of us doodle while on the phone. I’ve just decided to start to record mine. Minus the private information of course.
Doodles are so intriguing. I never really did that (at least that I can remember). I used to be in a monthly meeting with one guy who doodled constantly and it was a great distraction for me. I was fascinated to see how he filled up the page – and still kept up with the conversation!
Violet, I don’t normally doodle in public, as you said it can be distracting to others. But, if the phone call or meeting I’m in is intense, (and I’m afraid lately that has been more frequent than I care for) I will doodle. Sometimes, I think it is a release of pent up anxiety. This particular doodle filled page was one of those conversations.
(lol, I even have to approve my own comment?!)
Now I wish I had saved all my college notes – to examine the doodles in the margins! But I already know they were flat, not dimensional like yours!
You don’t have to go back to college Linda, just start saving your doodles now. I just like to scribble, and shade. I’ve never had a light hand, even when I coloured as a child I would press so hard on the crayons that they would snap in two. I used to be so jealous of the kids who used a light hand in a colouring book. But, now I’m glad I didn’t conform to the norm.
